Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic. It interferes with parasite microtubules so susceptible worms cannot absorb nutrients. The 222 mg tablet strength is a common solid presentation.

How it works
Fenbendazole binds beta-tubulin in parasites, blocking microtubule formation. That starves the worm of glucose. Host toxicity is usually lower because of differences in tubulin binding, but liver enzymes and blood counts can still shift, especially at high or prolonged doses.
Take exactly as a veterinarian or physician specifies for the species and infection involved. Do not copy internet ‘cycles’. Tablets may be taken with food. Complete the advised course even if symptoms ease, unless you are told to stop.
Possible effects include stomach upset and, with intensive use, liver-enzyme elevations. People who are pregnant should avoid benzimidazoles unless a specialist insists.
